Pre-torque Flangeless Fittings
Description
Pre-torque flangeless fittings enable safe and easy installation with defined torque. As the fitting is tightened, the resistance of the cap increases until the correct torque is reached, which is noticeable when the cap clicks. This allows the user to tighten the fittings by hand without tools. Screw connections are designed for multiple uses and typically comprise a threaded nut and a ferrule.
There are several material combinations to choose from:
- Threaded nut/cap made of PTFE or PP
- Ferrule made of PP or PFA
The caps are color-coded to indicate different torques.
The thread available is ¼-28UNF or M6.
